Our Family

A New Jersey born and raised family striving to leave things better than we found them.

This business is the our family’s opportunity share their love for the Earth and inspire others to live life more purposefully. Liz, an interior designer, and Brian, an engineer, make a great match who, together, have tackled many home and garden improvement projects, and are now ready to take on this incredible goal of having the largest lavender field in New Jersey and maybe even the country. They were inspired by the fields of lavender in France they visited on their 25th wedding anniversary trip. A couple years later, this property is now their opportunity to recreate those fields here in beautiful South Jersey! Alongside them are their two grown daughters Mikaela and Brielle, and Brielle’s partner, Kyle, who have excitedly joined the Birch Lane Farm team. Together, they collectively have enough education, skill, and motivation to accomplish some incredible things!

The two who started it all.

Liz and Brian Bilecki have been married over 26 years. Liz, the majority owner of Birch Lane Farm NJ, has had her work cut out for her planning and organizing the renovation of this property. Her many years of experience as an interior designer and mother has allowed her to appreciate the balance between the aesthetics and functionality of her surroundings, which is the idea we centered Birch Lane Farm NJ around.

Brian is an engineer by training, but is thrilled to be creating something with his family. His collection of knowledge in carpentry, mechanics, and pretty much anything with a YouTube video is an immense help to the huge projects the farm requires. His green thumb doesn’t hurt, either!

She and Brian are motivated by the nearly limitless potential of the property. The pair is excited to finally have a project to call their own, and together, their strengths allow them to take take risks and fulfill their dreams.

Meet Brielle! She is the eldest daughter and a registered nurse with a passion for community and public health! She recently moved back home to NJ with her fiancé and moved into the second house on the property, known as, “Little House,” to us. She loves being closer to family and is excited to be working on these projects together towards our mission.

Meet Mikaela! She is a recent graduate of Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science! She truly has a passion for all things living! Most importantly our three dogs, Charlie, Kodi, and Skye. She is really enjoying being surrounded by wild animals, cool plants, and now chickens and goats! She and Liz are the farm’s animal caretakers!
